Wide & Deep is the theme for the 2016 Vision Series. In this annual series we review and renew the Bible-based vision God has called us to. In (Part One) Pastor Karl leads us in a study of how Jesus called Peter to a personal vision for his life and how His vision for our lives – just like for Peter’s life – integrates with Christ’s vision for the church He promised to build (Part Two).
» It is the vision of a church where the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated, and the confused can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance, and encouragement.
» It is the vision of a church so driven by God’s great passion that we will do whatever it takes to make the Good News of Jesus Christ known to every resident, in every home, on this Peninsula.
» It is the vision of a church that develops every member to spiritual maturity through Bible studies, small groups, workshops, seminars, the Internet and a Bible school.
» It is the vision of a church that helps every member find their ministry and equips them for ministry and provides them opportunity to use their gifts and abilities in ministry.
» It is the vision of a church that is fun and helpful for the entire family – where kids want to be, because they have a great time experiencing God’s love, learning life lessons and seeing their own families become godly families; where teenagers have a great time in a dynamic student ministry where they are loved, accepted, and are shown how much they matter to God and where they have the support they need to face life and are helped in becoming leaders in whatever area of life God may call them into; where couples are supported with opportunities for strengthening their commitment to one another in recreational and educational ways; where single adults can grow in their personal lives and in community with others; where people in every season of life can find help for living and honoring God.
» It is the vision of a church that sends hundreds of volunteer and career ministers and missionaries to plant churches and start church-planting movements in the 20 most unchurched and unreached places on the planet.
» It is the vision of a church that builds a network of Bay Area churches that share the same vision for seeing lives changed.
» It is the vision of a campus with a regional church for San Mateo County – with facilities which are a testimony to God’s grace, love and transforming power and which facilitate outreach, training, recreation and worship. All of this will be designed to minister to the total person – spiritually, emotionally, physically, and socially – and set in a peaceful, inspiring garden landscape.
