WHC’s Mission Team set a true “faith” goal for WHC’s 1st GLOCAL Missions Project Offering: $17,000. On January 1, 2012, Pastor Karl reported that they goal had been reached and exceeded. The total: $18,683.38.
With WHC’s partner-churches the moneys will support 4,952 missionaries around the globe plus a joint-nationwide effort to start new churches in 27 cities within the US and mission projects in our own communities on the Peninsula.
WHC’s Mission Team, co-led by Ken and Shirley Hardy, used the following formula to set the financial goal for WHC’s part in fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:16-20):
- $9,904. 50% used for our global missionary support and 50% used for our partner mission project in Chile.
- $5,000 for church starts in 2 target US cities (1 in New York City and the other to be identified in the next 30 days).
- $3,779.38 for Peninsula evangelistic mission projects.
